NAD+ (β-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a naturally occurring pyridine dinucleotide coenzyme, not a peptide. It is built from two nucleotides — one bearing a nicotinamide moiety and the other an adenine moiety — joined through their phosphate groups.
